Exchange Server Support

Microsoft Exchange Server is Microsoft’s mail, calendar, address book, contact and task management platform. It is also deployed on the Windows Server network (Local Area Network (LAN) or Remote Area Network (RAS) for private company use. Microsoft designed Exchange Server to provide users access to their messaging platform from either a desktop laptop or web-based applications. Microsoft Exchange Server is a part of Microsoft Dynamics GP and some other Microsoft ERP products.

Microsoft Exchange Server offers various Microsoft Dynamics GP web-based applications that can be used to integrate Outlook with Exchange. These include the Microsoft Exchange Server Import and Export (EX imports and exports information from the MS Exchange database), Microsoft Exchange Server Search feature, Microsoft Exchange Server task pane and Microsoft Outlook Mail applet for viewing and managing mails in the inbox. It also includes Microsoft Sharepoint Workspace and Microsoft Intune Business Portal which are environment and application independent toolkits for creating portals in the web browser and accessing corporate information from a Windows Server PC. These workplace tools are integrated with Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Sharepoint (exchange point) applications for creating intranet and extranet. Microsoft Sharepoint allows sharing documents with people outside the organization.

Microsoft Exchange Server was first released in exchange version 7 and has been through numerous iterations since then. The first version of this system allowed the exchange of text or email between designated individuals who had signed up for an account. Later, the upgrade to exchange server offered greater functionality like organization awareness in the company. First version email client required the user to have the Microsoft Outlook service installed on their computer first. This meant that the user had to subscribe to the Microsoft Outlook mail server before they could access any email data on the server.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2021 is the latest release of the server and comes as a completely new system.

It includes several new features such as the Microsoft Extensible Messaging Service (MES), Microsoft Smart replies Language (MSLE), Microsoft’s new digital sign language (DML) and Microsoft’s new electronic messaging (EM) platform. All these have added new functionalities to email and have increased the interactivity. Apart from all these, there have been some other changes that have occurred in the form of changes to Exchange backup and scheduling. These new features have made it easier to schedule and backup your e-mail.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2021 has four main layers:

the base layer, the content delivery network (CDN), the infrastructure group and the virtual private server (VPS). Microsoft Exchange Server also uses the Microsoft cloud computing virtualization technology for delivering high speed, reliable and efficiently managed access to the services and data. This virtual infrastructure is based on the traditional infrastructure that has been used in intranet, internet, intranet, cloud and web services applications. It consists of different components such as Exchange server, Microsoft Exchange Enterprise Manager, Microsoft Outlook Express e-mail client, Microsoft Sharepoint and MS SQL databases. Virtualization technologies provide a high degree of isolation so that critical applications and data can be accessed without affecting any other applications or data on the physical server or cluster.

Microsoft Exchange Server can be effectively managed in two modes – single-master and multi-master. Single-master mode enables you to manage one instance of Exchange and it requires technical knowledge on how to administer the server. On the other hand, multi-master mode can manage many instances of Exchange and it requires more management abilities and advanced knowledge on Exchange. Microsoft Exchange Server has been installed on physical hardware such as server computers and workstations and it requires less space than the virtualized version. Therefore, the size of the data centers that you need to manage does not require a lot of space.

Microsoft Exchange Server comes with various upgrades and Microsoft certification solutions such as Microsoft Certified Systems (MCS) and Microsoft MCSE. Microsoft Exchange Server is also supported on Windows platform so, it is quite easy to deploy it on Windows environment. Microsoft certification testing services are provided by Microsoft Certified Solutions (MCS). Microsoft Exchange Server runs on Windows operating system and it supports various data types such as Outlook email servers, Word and Excel databases, Microsoft Access database and Citrix Netient project servers. Microsoft Exchange Server has a number of advanced features that make it very convenient to use for business houses. Some of the most notable features of this server are Microsoft Exchange Server 2021, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint.
